The Minebea
Group has, 28 plants and 43 sales offices in 14 countries. Since
starting operations at its first overseas production base in
Singapore in 1973, Minebea has steadily expanded its presence
worldwide, placing a particular emphasis on Asia. Today, the
Group’s operations in Asia, excluding Japan, account for more
than 80% of total Group production.

Manufacturing
Japan is home to the Minebea Group's headquarters and the Karuizawa and Hamamatsu manufacturing units, which function as “parent plants” for mass-production bases in Singapore, Thailand and China. Other domestic plants, including the Fujisawa and Omori Manufacturing Units, manufacture a variety of products for the Japanese market.
Sales
The Group has scaled back sales activities in Japan in recent years in response to the shift of production offshore by its principal customers.

Manufacturing
The Minebea Group's operations in Thailand,
China and Singapore account for more than 80% of total Group
output, with most products manufactured in the region exported
to markets worldwide. The Group's Thai operations comprise its
largest mass-production base, representing 49% of total Group
output. Each plant in Thailand operates under Minebea's vertically
integrated manufacturing system, which encompasses all processes,
including the manufacture and maintenance of dies, machining
of high-precision parts and final assembly.
Sales
With the increasingly rapid shift of production to Asia by Japanese, European and North American manufacturers of PCs and household electrical appliances, this region has grown into the single largest market for Minebea Group products. |

Manufacturing
The Minebea Group's operations in North
America manufacture rod-end and spherical bearings, small motors
and a host of other products, primarily for the U.S. market.
The Group also has an evaluation and testing base for products
destined for use in automobiles as well as a development base
for keyboards and other products.
Sales
Sales offices are primarily involved in marketing products imported from the Group's mass-production bases in Asia to customers in the region.

Manufacturing
The Minebea Group's operations in the
United Kingdom manufacture rod-end and spherical bearings, small-sized
ball bearings, most of which are sold in European markets. The
Group also has a design and development base for such products
as HDD spindle motors, other small motors in Germany.
Sales
Sales offices in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and France are primarily involved in marketing products imported from the Group’s mass-production bases in Asia to customers in the region.
